Tuesday, May 5, 2026
12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Eastern Time

When a wildfire, flood, power outage, or civil disruption hits, most CHCs don’t fail because they lack a plan. They fail because the plan is too big to use under pressure. This interactive session walks participants through a practical “First 24 Hours” continuity playbook: how to activate command, assess operational status across sites, prioritize essential services, and communicate clearly with staff, patients, and partners. We’ll cover what decisions must be made in the first 60 minutes, what to stabilize in hours 2 to 6, and how to sustain operations through day 1 while documenting decisions for recovery. Participants will work in small groups to apply the playbook to a realistic scenario and leave with a completed one-page activation checklist, a simple operational status dashboard template, and a short list of readiness improvements they can implement within 30 days. Designed for emergency preparedness leads, operations leaders, nursing and clinical managers, and anyone responsible for keeping services running during disruption.
